Consumer Text Messaging Habits
Vlingo has carried out a survey in 2008 and again in 2009 aimed to understand the attitudes and activities surrounding the use of text messaging by mobile phone users in the United States. Conducted in the first quarter of both years, the survey looked at consumer text messaging habits, including: how and when consumers use text messaging, what is preventing more consumer usage, and attitudes and behaviors related to Drive While Texting.
The survey was commissioned by Vlingo Corporation and administered independently by Toluna, a market research firm.
